Heartlanders and Walleye rematch Saturday night

Toledo, OH – The Iowa Heartlanders (2-7-2-0, 6 pts.) play the middle game of a three-in-three at the Toledo Walleye (7-4-0-0, 14 pts.) Saturday at 6:15 p.m.Iowa opened the weekend at Toledo Friday and dropped, 5-1. Bryce Misley’s power-play goal, assisted by Kris Bennett and Jake Linhart, was the Landers’ lone tally. Entering the game, Iowa had earned points in two straight for the first time in team history.This is the fourth of nine season series matchups this year. Toledo next visits the Heartlanders for a three-game set Dec. 8, Dec. 10 and Dec. 11 at Xtream Arena.  The Heartlanders complete the road trip at Ft. Wayne on Sun., Nov. 21 at 4:00 p.m.The Heartlanders are next at home for another Staybridge Suites home stand Nov. 24, Nov. 26 and Nov. 27. The rookie netminder from Army West Point has yet to face the Walleye this season. Hunter Jones has played the first three games of the season series vs. the Walleye.- The Huntington Center, open since 2009, has been a tremendous home ice advantage for the Walleye since the 2014-15 season, when the club started a streak of five straight playoff appearances. The Walleye are 152-46-15 at Huntington Center over the last 6+ seasons.
