Heartlanders look to build off Sunday win, start home stand

The game also marked the Heartlanders’ first road victory ever. Yuki Miura, Ben Sokay and Adrien Beraldo netted their first professional goals, Bryce Misley tallied his fourth man-up goal of the season and Bryce Gervais scored his first goal at the ECHL level. Hunter Jones blocked 31 shots.Iowa leaders Kris Bennett is best on the Iowa Heartlanders with six goals, seven assists and 13 points after generating three assists in Sunday’s win over Fort Wayne. Bryce Misley, Billy Constantinou and Jack Billings are second on the team with four goals.In cage, Hunter Jones leads Iowa with two wins. He is third in the league with 542 minutes played.Scouting the MavsKansas City enters the week looking to rebound after dropping two weekend games at Mountain Division foe Utah. Daniil Chechelev started the game for Utah and allowed three goals on 18 shots in a 4-2 defeat.Defenseman Marcus Crawford leads the Mavs in assists (9) and points (11). Lane Scheidl has six goals (9 pts.), best on the squad.Season SeriesThe Heartlanders and Mavericks split the first two games of the season Oct. 22-23. Iowa won, 7-4, on Opening Night in front of more than 4000 fans in the first game ever at Xtream Arena. Ryan Kuffner scored 25 seconds into the game.Hunter Jones has played the first two games of the season series for the Heartlanders. Billy Constantinou leads the Landers with three goals in the season series.In the first two games of the season series, the clubs have combined for 133 penalty minutes.
